Doka  is an underground and intimate sound bar where the night, music, and other forms of culture come together. Doka's program is created through collaborations with Broedplaats VKG – the creative studios within Volkshotel – and artistic talent from both inside and outside Amsterdam. This makes Doka a living room and an extension of DJs, artists, live bands, and other creatives.

For our nighttime programming and cultural events, we are looking for a host who can maintain the right atmosphere. You will provide a warm welcome for our visitors and ensure the door policy is clear and accessible. With your positive attitude and keen eye for the dynamics of the crowd, you are the person who makes sure everyone feels at home.

Your day/night will look like this:
As the host of Doka, you will be the first point of contact for our guests during the evening and night. You will welcome guests, club-goers, and all other visitors, ensuring they feel at home from the moment they arrive. With your sharp eye, you can immediately sense the vibe of anyone entering and know exactly how to make everyone feel at ease. You will guide visitors, assist with practical questions, and work with the security team to maintain the atmosphere and door policy. With your charm and flair, you will set the tone for an unforgettable night.

This is an on-call employment contract. Salary is in line with the horeca (hospitality) collective labor agreement and in accordance with your responsibilities.
