Need to stretch before your shift? You can. All employees are welcome to join the weekly yoga classes at Volkshotel for free. Then, you clock in and take the lift to the seventh floor. The atmosphere in Canvas is relaxed and informal, so no need to change clothes. At Canvas, you can be yourself. Your shift begins, and together with a team of motivated colleagues, you ensure that our guests want for nothing. Canvas serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to guests from all over the world, or just from around the corner. Want to stick around after your shift? You’re not alone—working with a view of the city of Amsterdam is amazing, but enjoying it afterward with a closing drink might be even better. Take a dip in our hot tubs and sauna on the eighth floor after your shift. You can use them for free. Not heading home yet? No worries—you get discounts on everything (programming, rooms, food, and drinks) at the hotel as an employee.

What can we offer?

It concerns a (zero-hour) contract with a minimum availability of 16 hours per week. Working more hours is not a problem, and there are plenty of opportunities for growth. The salary is in accordance with the hospitality collective labor agreement (CAO) and reflects your responsibilities. As an employee of Volkshotel, you are entitled to a free overnight stay in the hotel every year.
